Diablo 4 is having serious problems with the reliquaries

Season 8 of Diablo 4 was released today, bringing with it new gameplay mechanics, such as boss powers, appearance raid events, a quest line, and a novel battle pass system known as Relicario, aimed at facilitating the acquisition of themed cosmetics. However, the focus is on a technical issue that is affecting some players and has generated a stir on social media.

Numerous Diablo 4 users have reported that the Reliquary system is malfunctioning, leading to the loss of Platinum without receiving any rewards for their purchases. A prominent post on Reddit has garnered over 700 votes and 200 comments, many of which describe similar experiences. “The reliquary is failing and can take your Platinum without granting you ANY reliquary,” warned a player on the platform, and others have expressed their frustration pointing out that, despite having spent Platinum to unlock reliquaries, these do not activate correctly.

A spokesperson for Blizzard commented on the issue, indicating that a server fix is planned for this afternoon, which will address the problem with the purchased Reliquaries. Although the error seems to affect a limited number of players across various platforms, the community is advised to refrain from making purchases in this system until the corresponding patch is applied.

Apart from these technical challenges, the series director mentioned that “live services on Switch have been a bit challenging in the past,” which could influence the arrival of the title on the new console. While players await a solution to this issue, Blizzard continues to work on providing improvements and fresh content for Diablo 4.
