While there are many third party messenger apps that connect with Facebook, it was only a matter of time before Facebook released their own.
Facebook Messenger is that app, and has been released for Android and iPhone. Essentially, it’s the message portion of the Facebook for Android/iPhone app and combined with a group messaging and location service. It allows friends to message each other and add their locations. The app is great for friends who are out and trying to locate each other, with the ability to look at a map with locations of where the message was sent from. Facebook Messenger is almost overly simple because it is only a standard messaging client, just with the Facebook name.
So if you’re looking to be able to talk with all your Facebook friends just by messaging, Facebook Messenger is perfect for you.
