Approximately two months ago, we had the opportunity to enjoy Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the second part of the incredible video game developed by Insomniac Games. The studio promised, once they released the production, that before the end of the year we would have a huge update that would include New Game+. Unfortunately, according to the published statement, this is not going to happen.

According to the text that has been shared on social media, the update will not arrive until early 2024, with no exact date yet. “We know that players have been waiting for both New Game+ and audio descriptions, among others. We have been working on these implementations and more testing is required to ensure that the quality is close to our standards,” they point out.

“We have set a goal for early 2024 for the next game update, and we will have a list of implementations when we are closer to its release,” they indicate. “We have listened to your feedback and will add some requested features, including the ability to change the time of day, modify the color of spiderwebs, or repeat missions.”

From here, the studio thanks the players for their patience until this long-awaited update is released.

The New Game+ mode allows you to enjoy the game again, but keeping all the skills and progress achieved. The difference is that the difficulty increases and new tiers are unlocked that are only accessible within this mode. Thanks to this, the story mode is given a second life and encourages replaying it from a different perspective.

It is worth remembering that Insomniac Games already has a clear idea of who will be the protagonist of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. However, it will still be a few years before it is released.
