Apple has introduced the new Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro chips. A computer even smaller that offers surprising performance in an ultra-compact design. A Mac mini that redefines the concept of efficiency and power in a desktop computer, and thanks to Apple silicon technology, it can offer up to 1.8 times more CPU performance and 2.2 times more GPU performance compared to its previous version, the M1.
More power and smaller size in two variants: M4 and M4 Pro
The new design of the Mac mini is less than half the size of the previous model, measuring only 5×5 inches (approximately 12 centimeters). This size is made possible by the energy efficiency of the M4 and M4 Pro chips and a new thermal architecture that allows for more effective ventilation through the base of the device.

The combined power and efficiency allow the Mac mini to compete with much larger computers, as according to Apple, this model is up to six times faster than the best-selling desktop PC in its price range, with a significant reduction in size and energy consumption.
The Mac mini with M4 includes a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, with 16 GB of unified memory as the base configuration.
If we seek maximum performance, the Mac mini with M4 Pro features 14 cores in its CPU and up to 20 cores in its GPU. With up to 64 GB of unified memory and a bandwidth of 273 GB/s, the M4 Pro ensures unprecedented speed, even in tasks that require high graphic processing capacity. Additionally, the Thunderbolt 5 in the Pro model allows transfer speeds of up to 120 Gb/s, twice as fast as its predecessor.
The smallest Mac is also the greenest
Both Mac mini models feature front ports for easy access, with two USB-C and a headphone jack compatible with high-impedance headphones. On the back, the model with M4 has three Thunderbolt 4 ports, while the M4 Pro has three Thunderbolt 5 ports, making it easier to use high-speed external accessories and storage.

Regarding screen configuration, the model with M4 supports up to two 6K displays and one 5K display, while the model with M4 Pro can handle up to three 6K displays, ideal for those who require advanced multitasking setups.
The new Mac mini is the first Apple computer to achieve carbon neutrality. It is made with recycled materials, such as aluminum and rare earth elements, and the electricity used in its production comes from 100% renewable sources.
Availability and Prices
We can get a Mac mini with M4 from 719 euros or 599 dollars and with the M4 Pro model starting at 1669 euros or 1,399 dollars. Pre-orders are open from today, October 29, and deliveries as well as store arrivals will be on November 8.
After the launch of the new iMac M4 and Apple Intelligence yesterday, the new Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro redefines the standard of power and sustainability in an ultra-compact format. With exceptional performance, better connectivity, and achieving carbon neutrality, this model is a noteworthy option if we seek efficiency without compromising space or the environment. The new Mac mini demonstrates that it is possible to combine design with high-level power and do so with elegance.
