If you thought that Pokémon Go was going to sit idly by this Valentine’s Day… you don’t know the game very well. Of course, the people of Niantic have gotten down to work to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Specifically, it has done so with the premiere of the temporary investigation “Loving Wishes”.
This mission can only be done until until February 14. Likewise, it is composed of all the following parts, starting with this one:
- Catch 5 Pokémon – 15 Poké Balls
- Spin 3 PokéStops or Gyms – 10 Great Balls
- Power up Pokémon 5 times – 2 Silver
The reward you will get for doing everything will be 500 Stardust, 500 XP and 1 Lucky Egg. However, the important thing comes now, since the game will offer you, first, three bonuses and you will have to select one:
- Catching Pokémon – Receive double the XP for catching Pokémon during the event
- Using Daily Adventure Incense – 30 minutes of Daily Adventure Incense per day
- Pokémon Candy – Double Candy rewarded for catching Pokémon
Immediately afterwards, you will have to do a second part of the mission, which is made up of the following activities:
- Catch 10 Pokemon: Frillish (Female) encounter reward.
- Catch 25 Pokemon: Frillish encounter reward (male).
- Catch 8 Different Species of Pokemon: Frillish (Female) Encounter Reward.
- Send 25 Gifts to Friends: Frillish (Female) Encounter Reward.
When you finish the previous ones, the final moment arrives. Depending on what you have chosen in the bonuses (which we told you about above), the third and last mission will be different:
- If you chose the Capture Pokémon you will have to get 25.000 XP for an encounter with Frillish (male).
- If you chose, instead, the Use Incense, what you will have to execute is “use the incense” to catch 15 Pokémon, while the reward is to meet Frillish (male).
- And if you chose the candies, then you will have to Use 25 Pinia Berries, with a Frillish (male) encounter also as a reward.
Field investigations
- Earn 3 hearts with your buddy reward – Pikachu, Eevee or Ralts encounter
- Earn 10 hearts with your buddy reward – Frillish encounter
- Make 5 Great Curveball Throws in a row reward – Spinda encounter
- Open 5 Gifts reward – Combee or Morelull encounter
- Send 2 gifts with a sticker attached reward – Luvdisc encounter
- Spin 5 PokéStops or Gyms reward – Hippopotas or Litleo encounter
- Spin 10 PokéStops or Gyms reward – Chansey, Audino or Alomomola encounter
On the other hand, if we manage to send 100 million gifts we will get triple the Candy for transferring Pokémon, as well as double the Candy++ for transferring Pokémon. This is only available if you are above level 31 and you do it before February 15 at 07:00 local time.
And finally, all these Pokémon will be able to appear more frequently in the wild:
- Slowpoke
- Lickitung
- Miltank
- Lileep
- Feebas
- Spritzee
- Fomantis
- Alomomola
And these in the 7 KM eggs:
- Lickitung
- Smoochum
- Happiny
- Frillish – macho
- Frillish – hembra
- Alomomola
