The Jurassic Park franchise is preparing to return with a new reboot titled Jurassic World: The Rebirth, which is set to premiere on July 2, 2025. This new feature film, directed by Gareth Edwards, introduces us to a new narrative within the world that Steven Spielberg created from Michael Crichton’s work, although with fresh characters and an innovative approach.
A new movie from a legendary franchise
Starring Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennet, the film features a diverse cast that includes Jonathan Bailey, Manuel García-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, and Mahershala Ali. In The Rebirth, Zora and her team of scientists embark on an exciting mission to a remote equatorial area, where conditions still exist for the survival of dinosaurs. Their goal is to obtain DNA from the three largest creatures on the planet, hoping to develop a miracle drug, although the discoveries they will make could change the course of history.
David Koepp, the screenwriter of Spielberg’s original film, is responsible for writing the script for this project, which adds a touch of nostalgia for fans of the saga. Johansson, who has been a fan of the franchise since she was young, has shared her enthusiasm for being part of this universe, noting that her interest in participating has been persistent over the years.
Despite the pressure from Universal Pictures to open an Instagram account as part of the promotion, Johansson has decided to keep her distance from social media, reaffirming her commitment to her personal values. While she has recently started to participate in the feed of her beauty brand, The Outset, she assures that her approach to social media is minimal and authentic. With Jurassic World: Dominion, the actress is confident that the film will be a success, highlighting that “the work I publish is based on truth”.
