The presentation of the PS5 Pro hinted that we were looking at a much more powerful console than the standard PS5. A power that, for Sony, is only available to those who are willing to pay its price. However, there are some titles that do not perform as well on PS5 Pro as they did on the standard console.
Under the PS5 Pro enhanced label, Sony tags games that have improvements on the new console. However, it has been noted that some titles do not present the expected improvements, such as Silent Hill 2 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
In the case of the Konami game, players have pointed out on Reddit that neither the Quality nor Performance modes work as well as they should. On one hand, the Quality mode remains at 30 fps without much improvement. As for the Performance mode, it presents strange flickering effects on the screen.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is another one that fails to stand out on PS5 Pro. The truth is that it doesn’t have the best performance history and it seems that the problems are recurring on Sony’s console. According to a video published by Digital Foundry, the game presents “serious image quality issues.” The flickering effects and the general instability are some of the most notable flaws.
