Prime Video has been slowly expanding its catalog, not only by adding original content but also by incorporating content from others. Allowing the option to subscribe to other platforms’ catalogs by adding them as channels, it has centralized many subscriptions in one convenient place for both platforms and users. And its latest addition is one that will delight anime fans, as well as those who want to dive into this world but aren’t sure how.
This is because Crunchyroll has joined the list of available channels on Prime Video. Prime Video channels are essentially services offered by Amazon to host other streaming services on their platform, eliminating the need for separate subscriptions. Amazon handles the payments to the platform we are subscribing to, and we can access all the content from that platform through Prime Video. This approach is more convenient for many people than managing numerous subscriptions across different platforms.
Crunchyroll, in particular, is a great addition to Prime Video because, as of now, it doesn’t offer the best possible service outside of PCs and smartphones. With an app available for smart TVs that doesn’t always function as it should and can be difficult to navigate, its inclusion in Prime Video is a boon for those who want to use it on their television sets.
Currently, Crunchyroll is already available in the USA and will be arriving in Canada, Switzerland, and England before the end of the week. It will reach other countries before the end of 2024, with no official confirmation yet for Spain or Latin America, two regions where both Crunchyroll and Amazon Prime are already present.
In Crunchyroll, you can access over 1,300 anime series and movies, including some of the most anticipated releases of each season, airing simultaneously with Japan. That’s why, if you’re an anime enthusiast or interested in diving into anime, it’s highly recommended to consider it. Especially because its subscription offers a one-week free trial and then costs $7.99 per month. It’s a more than reasonable price for the quantity and quality of anime they provide.
