OPPO, one of the brands deeply entrenched in the foldable smartphone market, will introduce the OPPO Find N3 as the world’s first commercially available book-type foldable. This has been officially confirmed by the company, marking a departure from its predecessors that were limited to the Chinese market.
The OPPO Find N3, which already has pre-orders active and is set to start shipping on October 27th, boasts top-notch hardware features: a second-generation Snapdragon 8 processor, displays with refresh rates of up to 120 Hz, and cameras developed in collaboration with the renowned manufacturer Hasselblad.
16GB of RAM for all kinds of tasks
One of the most striking features of this foldable device lies in its interior. In addition to its book-type foldable design, the OPPO Find N3 incorporates top-of-the-line components. Alongside the mentioned second-generation Snapdragon 8 processor, the device boasts 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, ensuring its multitasking capabilities.
As for the screen details, it features a 7.82-inch interior display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2440×2268. The exterior screen, on the other hand, is 6.31 inches with a resolution of 2484×1116. These screens can achieve a brightness of up to 2,800 nits, and the variable refresh rate can range from 1 to 120Hz. All these components will be powered by a 4,805mAh battery, supported by a robust 67W fast charging capability.
The book-type format remains expensive
The price of the OPPO Find N3 is not affordable for everyone: the device in Europe will have a starting price of 1,849 euros. It’s not cheap by any means, but it’s in line with other foldable phones in the market, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5.
For those interested in foldable phones, clamshell smartphones tend to be the more popular choice, as their price is significantly lower than that of the book-type format while offering similar foldable functionality.
