The prequel to this very famous anime arrives on Crunchyroll in April

The popular anime My Hero Academia, based on the successful manga by Kohei Horikoshi, is preparing to say goodbye with its eighth season, scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2025. While fans of the main series must prepare for its conclusion, TOHO Animation has new surprises up its sleeve, the most imminent being the spin-off titled My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, which will be released on April 7 on Crunchyroll Spain.

And after this spin-off, the eighth season will arrive

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is set before the events of the main story and follows the adventures of Koichi Haimawari, a college student who has chosen to step away from the heroic path, until a vigilante changes his life. This new group of heroes, operating outside the law, promises to offer fans a new perspective on the world of superheroes and villains they love so much. The narrative is written by Hidyuku Furuhashi and directed by Kenichi Suzuki, known for his work on iconic series like Cells at Work! and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

In the first trailer of the spin-off, a villain is introduced who injects a formula into humans to enhance their Gifts, creating what the creators call instant villains. This twist in the plot adds a new layer of tension and excitement to the narrative, allowing fans to explore a different side of villain creation in the My Hero Academia universe.

As the release of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes approaches, fans of the series can prepare for a rollercoaster of emotions and new stories within a world that has captured the imagination of millions since its debut. With two proposals on the horizon, anime enthusiasts will definitely have a lot to look forward to in the near future.
