The Witcher will see more than one game in the second saga

If there’s one company I’d like to have in my back pocket as far as interviews go, it’s CD Projekt Red. In March, the company indicated that it was using Unreal Engine 5 to create a new game in The Witcher series. From what I’ve read so far, it looks like there will be more than one title in the second saga.

Adam Kiciński is joint CEO and president of CD Projekt Red. When dealing with a recent earnings call, he mentioned that there are plans to have more than one The Witcher game in the next saga. The first saga had three games, so it feels only right that we should see several titles in the following one.

The company recently partnered with Epic Games with new technological plans for the upcoming The Witcher saga. With the research phase complete, CD Projekt Red is now moving towards pre-production. That has me all excited for the next game, but it will probably be a few years before we see it appear. 

With The Witcher now an official Netflix series, the brand is becoming increasingly popular. I remember how long the second and third games took to complete. Based on that alone, I’m sure The Witcher 4 will be even more epic with more places to explore. Thankfully, the fantasy genre is so vast, that there’s so much they can still do with the series.

I’m curious to see how many more lands and creatures they can create for The Witcher Saga 2. I fall in love with bestiaries, so it will be exciting to see how many more they add to the current list. Also, we’re probably going to see more quests than ever before with stunning character developments over the entire new series.

Ok, I’m getting overexcited. The last time I felt this way was when Diablo IV had new updates and they discussed some of the new seasonal features in the upcoming game. I think I’ll go bury my head in my novels and return to creating worlds of my own.
