Now, fans have plenty to discuss as they eagerly await the highly anticipated first trailer dropping this week.

The tweet of madness, the tweet that broke the internet

Rockstar Games has announced on social media that the official trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released on Tuesday, December 5, confirming the rumors that the latest GTA game would be showcased around the time of The Game Awards 2023 livestream, a few days later.

The announcement itself was simple and cryptic, featuring tropical images that supported claims that GTA 6 would return to Vice City, as many fans have been hoping for.

As expected, the internet exploded when Rockstar announced the trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, and now the tweet stands as one of the most read on Twitter regarding video games.

According to VCG, the announcement of the GTA 6 trailer received over 1.8 million likes within 24 hours of its release, surpassing a similar post from November where Rockstar hinted that the anticipated GTA 6 trailer would be released the following month.
