Apple TV has become the home of science fiction, and a good proof of this is that it has become the platform par excellence for series of this genre. From Foundation to Silo, there are several high-level fictions that are rocking the VOD service. And one of the most outstanding is the spectacular Invasion.

The series by Simon Kinberg and David Weil has been on the air since 2021, and its first two seasons have been a great success, especially critically. But it has been five months since the last batch of episodes concluded, so its renewal was not expected. And yet, it has finally received the green light from Tim Cook’s platform.

One of the best alien stories we have ever seen

Invasion tells the story of Earth being visited by an alien species that threatens the existence of humanity. The events unfold through the eyes of five individuals as they struggle to make sense of the chaos unfolding around them. The first season laid the groundwork for the fiction, setting the stage for deeper exploration of the themes in the second season. Now, it is expected that all the open storylines will be resolved in the upcoming episodes.

Invasion is starring Sam Neill, Shamier Anderson, Golshifteh Farahani, Firas Nassar, and Shiori Kutsuna. Without a doubt, it is one of the biggest bets from Apple TV in its favorite genre, in which they spare neither budget nor production design when it comes to generating a thrilling story that has become one of the best alien stories we have seen in decades.
