As a platform, Netflix is the closest thing we have to a roller coaster. The streaming platform by Ted Sarandos usually releases new or recovered gems that leave the audience astonished every now and then. However, it is also common for series to be canceled in the middle of development or for movies of rather ridiculous quality to be released on the VOD service.

Among the major obstacles of Netflix, the worst is probably the fact that it usually removes great movies from its catalog for a certain period of time. And this is what has happened with The Hateful Eight, the eighth film by Quentin Tarantino, which is currently available in its cinematic version and as a miniseries on Netflix. It will be removed on April 24th, so you have very little time to enjoy it.

The Ten Little Indians Western Version

The Hateful Eight is one of the most underrated films in Quentin Tarantino’s career. Despite having great stars in its cast, when it was released it was not as celebrated as Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained or his later film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

However, it is one of the most well-rounded films in the director’s career. Like a modern and western version of And Then There Were None, the movie tells the story of how, a few years after the Civil War, bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell) travels with his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to Red Rock, where Ruth will deliver the woman to justice.

Along the way, they both encounter Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson), a former Union soldier, and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), a southerner who claims to be the sheriff. The four take shelter from a blizzard in a mountain pass where they meet four other unfamiliar faces. There, the eight travelers will discover that they may not make it to Red Rock… and one by one they fall to the mystery of the rest.
