Okay, it is clear that Hollywood has finally learned how to adapt video games to the big or small screen. That’s what happened with Super Mario Bros., Arcane (League of Legends), The Last of Us, and it even seems like with Fallout. But was a movie about The Sims necessary? Well, apparently there was someone who thought so: Margot Robbie.
The star of The Wolf of Wall Street, Barbie and Suicide Squad has announced that she will produce a movie about the famous simulation video game. The studio in charge will be LuckyChap, which has acquired the rights to the title, and along with Robbie, Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, and Vertigo Entertainment will produce it.

Another video game jumps to the big screen
At the moment, it is not known who will star in the movie, or if Robbie will be in the cast. What we do know is who will be the main team of screenwriters: Kate Herron (Loki) and Briony Redman (Doctor Who). This will be the first big screen adaptation that The Sims will have, although for decades it has been one of the most popular video games worldwide. Well, it was something that no one expected, but we will wait for it with open arms.
