Batman Arkham City has got a new trailer at Gamescom featuring Firefly. The villainous pyromaniac Firefly’s significance will be obvious to Batman fans – if Bruce Wayne can’t stop him, Gotham City will go up in flames.

So far ten Gotham City baddies have been confirmed to appear in Arkham Origins: Black Mask, Joker, Penguin, Bane, Mad Hatter, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Copperheard, Anarky and now Firefly. Each enemy will have their own way to make Batman’s life miserable, which you can see clearly in the combat filled video.

Like many villains in Batman, Firefly was the result of an accident. Starting life as a relatively small time pyromaniac, Garfield Lynns is badly burned in an arson attack he starts at a chemical plant, with 90 percent of his body covered in burns, he wears a mask and uses pyrotechnics, flame throwers and explosives to fight.

In the trailer we also see that Batman’s troubled relationship with Police Commissioner James Gordon will play a part in the game. As if the horde of villains wasn’t enough for the Batman, he will have to face up to Gotham City’s police too.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on October 25th for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.

If you haven’t played them, the previous games Batman: Arkham Aslyum and Batman: Arkham City are highly recommended.
