Were you looking forward to watching the Avatar sequel from home? ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ was a real blockbuster while it was in theaters, becoming one of the highest-grossing films in history. As we told you recently, the arrival of the Avatar sequel on streaming platforms was scheduled for March 28, and so it has been. Although with some drawbacks.

Amazon Prime Video DOWNLOAD

Avatar: The Way of Water won the Oscar for Best Special Effects for a film that set the technical bar extremely high and featured great actors such as Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Kate Winslet. It was also a critical success, receiving a 76% on the prestigious Rotten Tomatoes website.

But the wait is over, and those who did not want to or could not see it in theaters, or wanted to enjoy it directly on their couches at home, can now watch it on streaming. However, for the moment only in the United States… and for a fee.

Although we are already used to simultaneous releases and not having to pay extra to watch series or movies on streaming platforms, there are movies that are released earlier in some countries than in others (or not at all in some), and some are not released openly, but you have to pay a rental to watch them (yes, like in the old days in video stores).

This is the case of Avatar: The Way of Water, which is already available in the Microsoft Store, Apple TV and Prime Video, but having to pay about $19.99 to watch it in the best quality. And, unfortunately for Spaniards, only in the United States. At the moment, it is unknown when it will be available in Spain or in other countries, in any of the available streaming platforms. In addition, the film has not been released on Disney+, but it is expected that it will eventually reach the streaming platform at some point.
