Bizarrap has been a hit for some time now with its Music Sessions, which have featured artists such as Nathy Peluso, Nicky Jam and Residente. And now it has added a new big name to its roster with Arcángel. Thanks to Bizarrap‘s high level of music production and the virality of their collaborations, their sessions have become the perfect place for artists to showcase themselves.

It was the place chosen by Shakira to launch her beef against Piqué, and also the space in which Quevedo rose to fame just eight months ago. But the session with Arcángel had been years in the making, and now it has finally come to light to the delight of fans of the Puerto Rican reggaetonero.

Arcángel’s polemics hinder the session

Shirtless and showing off his flow, Arcángel starred in a session in which he gave it all. At a frenetic rhythm of rap, he left very clear messages for the scene. “These rappers are my children, I was part of their childhood” he sings addressing the new music scene of recent years, which according to the artist drink from his music and now despise it.

The song also refers to his well-known Cannabis plantation (“Un jardín gigantesco de moña’ violeta”) and makes a nod to the previous BZRP session: “Matándolo’ como Shakira a Piqué. He also emphasizes Puerto Rico’s collaboration with Argentina, something the producer himself highlights by wearing his national team’s jersey.

On the other hand, the reguetonero does not hesitate to drop clear puyitas to Anuel AA, rapper with whom he had a close friendship for years and that was finally broken in 2020. Arcángel has made it clear on more than one occasion that this hurt him, as he was even on his side when he was in jail, and for three years they have not stopped throwing barbs at each other, some more direct than others.

Despite the fact that in just a few hours it has already surpassed 8 million views, many are wondering if this song is up to the task. It is clear that it has a lot of flow and knows how to convey its messages, but after the virality of Shakira’s song and last year’s hits by Villano Antillano and Quevedo, it seems that this song will be a little more camouflaged than the rest.

In addition, there are many who have criticized Bizarrap for collaborating with the artist. Arcángel is always a source of controversy, and in 2021 he starred in one that ended with artists like Bad Gyal or Anitta criticizing him harshly. “You want to be respected as a woman, but you spend your time showing your cu**. Women who behave, distinguish themselves and are labeled as ladies” wrote Arcángel on Instagram. No comment…
