Details have leaked about the setting and the main antagonists of the upcoming title in the popular video game series Far Cry, which has been partially confirmed in development by Ubisoft. According to recent reports from the gaming community, the next game will be set in New England, which would mark a notable change in the usual settings of the franchise.
Everything we know about the new Far Cry
The leaks, which come from a casting announcement, describe the main villains as a wealthy family known as the Bennets, whose power dynamics are reminiscent of the series Succession. This family consists of several characters, including Layla, Dax, Brie, Christian, Henry, and Krista, who will be caught up in a conflict fueled by ambition and the struggle for power.
The main antagonist, Ian Duncan, is presented as a conspiracy theorist with an army of followers determined to challenge the wealthy elite. This focus on class conflict and criticism of the excesses of contemporary aristocracy resembles the themes explored in Far Cry 5, although it seems that this installment aims to delve deeper into the complexities of the Bennet family and their internal rivalries.
According to the leaks, the information appears to be legitimate, as it has been corroborated by sources related to the study. However, Ubisoft has not provided any official comment on the matter. While the gaming community keeps hope alive, it is anticipated that the game’s release will not occur before 2025, so we will have to wait to learn more about this new installment of the iconic series.
