When does the beta start?
Most important of all: the day and time. The Diablo beta will be divided into two phases: a first one dedicated to those who have reserved the game, and a second one available to everyone.
According to the information provided by Blizzard, the Diablo IV beta for those who have pre-purchased the title starts today, Friday, March 17, 2023 at 17:00 hours in Spain. The closing of the beta will take place this Monday, March 20, 2023 at 20:00 hours in Spain.
And secondly, the open beta for any player. This will start on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 17:00 Spanish time, while the closing will be on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 20:00 Spanish time.
The beta can now be downloaded in advance to speed up the waiting time.
What limitations does the beta have?
During the two betas available, players will be able to explore “exhaustively” the initial part of the game. In this way, we will be able to experience both the Prologue and Act 1 in full. “You can explore the first zone, Fractured Peaks, as much as you want,” the team notes.
Of course, the beta also has its limitations in terms of the character. The character can only be leveled up to a maximum of level 25, although it will be possible to continue playing once this level is reached. Players will also have access to three classes during the first weekend: the Barbarian, perfect for the toughest battles, the Renegade, ideal for speed, and the Sorcerer, ideal for handling the elements. From the second weekend, Blizzard will add the two remaining classes: the Druid and the Necromancer. Thus, the five existing classes of the game will be available.
Finally, the beta will only have one big boss: Ashava. This being carries two huge blades on his forearms and has the ability to cover the entire terrain with a viscous poison. This boss will only appear at specific moments:
- Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 18:00 and 20:00 Spanish time.
- Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 06:00 and 08:00 Spanish time.
- Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 18:00 and 20:00 Spanish time.
- Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 07:00 and 09:00 Spanish time.
Will the beta have co-op?
As it could not be otherwise, the Diablo IV beta will also offer cooperative mode. Multiplayer is everything in this saga. Up to a maximum of 4 players will be able to enjoy the games together.
Likewise, we will not only have the multiplayer cooperative, but also the local cooperative on consoles. Thanks to this, two players will be able to play Diablo IV on the same monitor or television (with split screen). Of course, it will be necessary to have the Battle.net account and the console account linked.
Killing demons while close to another player will grant 5% additional experience, which increases to 10% if you are close to another member of your party.
