Honor among thieves, an unbreakable code

Edgin Darvis, a bard sworn to serve a secret order that altruistically seeks good, makes a mistake that ends with the murder of his wife. With a newborn daughter, Chris Pine’s character is left to fend for himself.

So he sets up a band of thieves who, without hurting anyone or killing anyone along the way, rob rich people and politicians with great skill and grace. This causes the group’s fame to grow… and with it their downfall.

The movie starts right here and I won’t go on counting because it would be spoiling an adventure worth seeing in theaters. I had a blast in my seat last Wednesday. And if you’re like me, one of those who spent their teenage years rolling dice, you have no choice: you have to go now.

When it will come to streaming and on which platform

At this point we have to use our intuition, since Paramount Pictures, the distributor, has not said anything about it. But we have a few ideas about it.

First of all: when will it arrive? For the time being, the usual industry practice is for companies like Disney or HBO to bring their movies from theaters to the platforms 45 days after their theatrical release.

This ensures that the cinema has enough time to squeeze the most out of an audience that wants to enjoy the movie in a large theater and soon join the Twitter threads where the film is being discussed. And studies show that the number of moviegoers drops after the first month in theaters.

So we might expect that by May 15, 2023 the film will end up hitting the small screen via streaming. And that brings us to the second question: which platform?
