Fortnite: John Wick Challenges and Event Guide

The Wick’s Bounty Challenges must all be completed within matches of Wick’s Bounty, the new LTM game mode introduced as part of the event. This squad-based game type has players dropping in all over the map and collecting gold tokens, obtained by eliminating other players. Each player starts with a certain number of tokens, and each player only has three lives. The first squad to collect 500 tokens wins the match, but be warned: the players with the three highest token amounts will be marked on the mini-map for all players to see.

  • Win a match of Wick’s Bounty (1) – One Shot Glider

This first challenge is arguably the most straightforward, but you’ll need a pretty good squad to rise to the top. Ideally, you should play with friends, but if you can’t, you’ll need to work together as a team. Completing this challenge will net you the One Shot glider, a Wick-themed take on the standard Umbrella glider.

  • Play matches of Wick’s Bounty (5) – Boogeyman Wrap

This one should be pretty easy: win or lose, you’ll simply need to play 5 matches in the new mode. Doing so will reward you with the Boogeyman weapon wrap, which gives your weapons a sleek black paint job.

  • Collect Gold Tokens (120) – 500 XP

This challenge may require a bit more work, but skilled players can also potentially check this one off the list in a single match. You’ll have to collect 120 Gold Tokens cumulatively, whether it be over the course of one match or several.

  • Collect Gold Tokens in a single match (20) – 500 XP

There are two ways to finish this challenge: either start eliminating enemies and grab their tokens, or keep an eye out and look for Golden Tokens that have been dropped on the map by other players.

  • Deal damage with the Combat Shotgun (500) – 500 XP

All players start with this weapon in their inventory, so this shouldn’t be too hard. The Combat Shotgun is a recently added weapon that’s essentially a step up from the old Tactical Shotgun. It fires in semi-auto and has a good combo of firing speed, range, and damage-dealing capabilities.

  • Deal damage with the Tactical Assault Rifle (500) – 500 XP

Another new Wick-themed weapon, the Tactical Assault Rifle actually fires light bullets. As such, it does slightly less damage than other assault rifles, but makes up for it with good range and accuracy.

Completing five challenges will reward players with the Gold Token back bling item, essentially just a giant version of the Tokens that players collect during Wick’s Bounty.

More about Wick’s Bounty

Some players may have noticed new John Wick- themed areas that have been added to the map with recent updates. The first, Wick’s House, can be found on the outskirts of Paradise Palms. This prime example of modern architecture boasts the exact layout as Wick’s home in the first movie, and even includes his trademark muscle car parked in the driveway.

As an added bonus, players who have seen the movie will know the location of a few secret chests. Heading to the basement and mining the floor will reveal at least three chests full of loot, which mirrors the spot where Wick buried his old assassin’s kit after he retired.

In addition, players can also head to The Continental Hotel, located in Neo-Tilted. In the movies, this Hotel serves as a central location in the world of assassins and hitmen that Wick is part of. As part of The Continental’s iron clad rules, no “business” can be conducted within Hotel walls. In the Wick’s Bounty game mode, this spot acts as a safe zone where no players can attack or use weapons. However, that doesn’t prevent players outside the hotel from firing at you while you’re inside.

In the Item Shop, players can find the John Wick skin, which comes in both normal and battle-scarred variants. The Sledgehammer that Wick uses in the first movie to unearth his buried gear has also been added, as well as additional themed weapon wraps and a few movie-inspired emotes.

Alex's first experience with video games came at the tender young age of 12, when his parents gave him and his brothers a PlayStation 2 for Christmas. They’ve probably been regretting that mistake ever since, because as soon he finished his first lap in Gran Turismo 3, Alex was hooked for life. In addition to writing for Softonic, Alex has turned that love of games into a voice acting career, and has voiced everything from grizzled old soldiers to vampire lords. When he's not gaming or getting behind the microphone, Alex can probably be found wandering the woods around Boston or putting together some new culinary delight in his kitchen.
