Hogwarts Legacy is being a real success both in critics and in users. The Avalanche video game places us in the year 1890 (many years before Harry Potter stole the House Cup from Slytherin), being able to find some ancestors of several characters that we know well.
A game where we can do almost anything, including flying with a broom, throwing all kinds of magic with our wands or preparing potions, and where you can also dress your character however you want. Although most aspects of Hogwarts Legacy will be unlocked naturally as you play, others are exclusive to the version of the game you have purchased, are obtained as bonuses if you link accounts or are obtained as Twitch drops after watching streams on the platform.
Precisely, one of the aspects most appreciated and sought after by players is one of these drops: Merlin’s cape. An aspect that, in addition to being aesthetically very beautiful and allowing you to walk around Hogwarts castle as King Arthur’s own court wizard, is very rare to obtain, although users still have the opportunity to obtain it.
Hogwarts Legacy players only had two chances to get this Twitch drop: on February 7, for the early access launch of the game, and on February 10, the official launch of the game. In both cases, to obtain it you had to watch the live broadcast of the Avalanche channel starting at 10 am (NY time), for at least 20 minutes.
But not everyone was able to get the drop, and some have bought it in recent days (or plan to do so soon). For this reason, the Avalanche, which is fully aware of the problem, has recently announced that players will have more chances to get the cape of Merlin “over the next few weeks”.
At the moment, not much else is known about when or how the skin will be obtainable in the game. Most likely, Avalanche wants to boost their Twitch channel, which received thousands of views in the last live streams, so it would make sense for them to repeat the play and enable the drop in more streams.
