Epic Games, the driving force behind Fortnite, has recently announced yet another incredible addition to the Fortnite Item Shop. If you missed it, just over a week ago, we saw Assassin’s Creed loot land in the Item Shop. This time, however, it’s Marvel’s nighttime knockout, Moon Knight, who’s getting the Fortnite treatment.

Moon Knight is the titular protagonist of Marvel’s newest series of the same name. Currently streaming on Disney+, the show has been labeled as chaotic and often unpredictable. That is exactly how the news of Moon Night being made available in the Item Shop is hitting us loyal fans; it’s chaotic to be getting new toys to play with, and Moon Knight was certainly an unpredictable addition unless you’ve been following the predictions and leaks surrounding his arrival that have been circulating since the beginning of the month.

Moon Knight, also known as the Fist of Khonshu, is not the only skin joining the Fortnite universe, though, like Marvel, and Epic Games, have each explained on their respective social media platforms:

‘Enacting justice for those traveling at night, Moon Knight is available now in the Fortnite Item Shop! This fist of Khonshu is willing to enact justice whether day or night on the Island, but for those a little more suave, you can switch to the Mr. Knight Style in the Locker.’

But that’s not all: ‘Moon Knight is seldom seen without his cape, so included with his Outfit is the Moon Knight’s Cloak Back Bling. And for your close-quarters combat, the Crescent Darts Pickaxe is in the Shop as well.’

All things considered, we’re definitely being spoiled for choice with this latest addition to the Fortnite family. We can’t wait to try Mr. Knight’s Crescent Darts Pickaxe out for ourselves.

If you haven’t already, check out Chapter 3 of the Fortnite Battle Royale experience. There are a number of exciting things happening over in the universe and we wouldn’t want you to miss out. Did you know that massive changes are headed to Fortnite skill-based matchmaking?

I hail from the awe-inspiring beauty of South Africa. Born and raised in Pretoria, I've always had a deep interest in local history, particularly conflicts, architecture, and our country's rich past of being a plaything for European aristocracy. 'Tis an attempt at humor. My interest in history has since translated into hours at a time researching everything from the many reasons the Titanic sank (really, it's a wonder she ever left Belfast) to why Minecraft is such a feat of human technological accomplishment. I am an avid video gamer (Sims 4 definitely counts as video gaming, I checked) and particularly enjoy playing the part of a relatively benign overlord in Minecraft. I enjoy the diverse experiences gaming offers the player. Within the space of a few hours, a player can go from having a career as an interior decorator in Sims, to training as an archer under Niruin in Skyrim. I believe video games have so much more to teach humanity about community, kindness, and loyalty, and I enjoy the opportunity to bring concepts of the like into literary pieces.
