This year is being very good for cinema in general, with the box office balancing again after a few pretty bad years. But in addition to all the box office hits we are used to seeing, there are also very surprising premieres that take the public by surprise.

The latest of these releases is Trap, a film by M. Night Shyamalan which has grossed over 80 million from a base budget of 30. Trap has managed to uniquely surprise the audience with a very interesting proposal, and it has now been announced when it will arrive on Max so that we can all watch it at home: next October 25.

A plot twist worthy of Shyamalan!

At the end of October, the new Shyamalan movie will be able to reach an even larger audience than it has in theaters. The film tells the story of a serial killer named Cooper (played by Josh Hartnett), who attends a massive concert while evading a police blockade.

The plot unfolds as Cooper, known as “The Butcher”, tries to blend into the crowd and keep his identity hidden, accompanied by his daughter, Riley, at pop star Lady Raven’s concert. This situation creates an atmosphere full of tension and claustrophobia. While the authorities try to capture the killer among thousands of attendees, Cooper uses his cunning to manipulate those around him, including members of the team and Lady Raven herself, to avoid being caught.

As the plot progresses, the movie turns into a cat-and-mouse game between Cooper and the FBI, also showcasing Cooper’s complex relationship with his family. Without a doubt, it is a 100% Shyamalan-style film, and beyond the anecdotal, it captivates the audience from the very first minute.
