Sad news that we received again around the physical format. Thanks to Reddit forums we have learned that the expected Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which goes on sale this very week, will come without being complete on disc. Yes, you read that right and it’s not clickbait: if you buy the next Star Wars game in physical, we’re sorry to tell you that you get the disc, right, but not the full game.

According to what appears on the cover of the game, a mandatory download is required to run it. This nuance is where the difference with the usual, because although we are used to Day 1 patches, what is not so common is that we are forced to download content; if not, the game can not be played, worth the redundancy.

Continuing with the information revealed, in the specifications it appears that this Star Wars needs 150 GB of hard disk space, well above the 100 GB that the current physical disks have.

It is not the first time -nor will it be the last, unfortunately- that a game comes without being complete on its disk. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 we already saw that it barely weighed 75 MB, that is, it was an executable that ordered to download everything from the Internet.

We will have to wait until we have it on our PlayStation 5 and Xbox X | S Series consoles to find out for sure (it also comes out for PC, of course).
