SkyShowtime lands in Spain at a bargain price: how to access the platform

A new streaming platform lands on February 28 in Spain. In the midst of the Netflix debacle due to its new policies of account sharing and cancellations, SkyShowtime arrives in our country in search of a place among other services such as HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Filmin or Apple TV.

SkyShowtime has not only arrived in Spain, but has also been launched in Andorra, Slovakia, Hungary, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Poland, Czech Republic and Romania. Moreover, it has done so at a ridiculous price: for less than three euros you can enjoy the platform in its entirety.

Although the monthly subscription price rises to 5.99 euros, if activated in the first two days (from February 28) you are eligible for a lifetime discount of 50%. That is, at 2.99 euros per month. This offer is similar to the one launched by HBO Max when it was launched in Spain, and will be available for only 48 hours.

What is SkyShowtime’s catalog?

The international platform has a very interesting catalog, with a selection of titles from studios such as Universal, Paramount, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks, Showtime, Sky Studios and Peacock. In addition, it features original programming at each location. From Warner Bros Discovery, for example, it has One Way or Another, Dafne and the Rest and Foodie Love, which previously belonged to HBO Max.

Some very interesting titles that appear in their welcome trailer are Halo (the series based on the videogame), Law and Order, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Dando la nota, Vampire Academy, Fast&Furious, Jurassic World, SpongeBob SquarePants or Mamma Mia! Undoubtedly, they have pulled out all the stops to compete head to head against their rivals.

In addition, in Spain they are coming with the exclusive premiere of Bosé, the series about the life of singer Miguel Bosé. And soon they will premiere Los enviados, another original series starring Miguel Ángel Silvestre.
