This article is full of spoilers about the finale of The Bachelor. If you haven’t seen any of season 27, we recommend you not to read any further.
Last January saw the premiere of the last season of The Bachelor, the dating reality show that has been with us since 2002. After 27 seasons, the current season reaches its last episode, aired this past Monday, March 27th on ABC.
The big question on the show was simple: who would Zach Shallcross stay with, Gabi Elnicki or Kaity Biggar? And the answer was given by the one involved without a second’s hesitation with the following words: “The love I feel for you is something I could never have imagined. I love you very much. I love you with all my heart and you are the face I want to wake up with every morning for the rest of my life. With you and only you, Kaity Biggar, I want to be with you forever.”

Thus, the dating show put an end to this season of “tension” in sentimental matters. But what about Elnicki? Well, it was time to break up with her, of course: “What a journey you and I have had. All our moments that have changed our lives. There is so much I love and adore about you. Meeting you and falling in love with you has made me a better man. But as much as I have fallen in love with you, I’m sorry. You deserve a man who will choose you first for every day.”
Beyond the statements that all the protagonists dedicated to each other during the more than three hours of the show -some of them with a very ugly tone- season 27 closed with a happy ending for both protagonists.
