The creator of Palworld confirms that it will never be free
But maybe in the future they will try to make money in another way, of course

It is the new big trend in video games: offering the title completely free but then making the audience pay for small cosmetic fixes, DLCs, and various purchases. And after the failure of Concord, it seems quite clear that all companies considering making ‘games as a service’ will pivot in their intentions of requiring an initial payment for them. Well, not all of them.
Free? Never!
Pocketpair, the company behind Palworld, has made it very clear that they don’t care what the rest of the industry does: they will never go free-to-play, although they admit that they considered it for a while. ‘We have decided that free-to-play or games as a service don’t suit our game well.’
It makes sense: after all, the game wasn’t designed with that model in mind, and now they would have to change everything to adapt it. And it’s not worth it for a trend, since they are aware that ‘it’s not what our players want, and we always put them first.’ Yes, there may be skins or additional content in the future, but it will be something discussed with the community and they will never act unilaterally. Look, I wish everyone did the same, honestly. I’m not looking at anyone, Concord.
