Good news for fans of The Last of Us. The series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey is premiering week by week on HBO Max, generating all kinds of discussion from audiences and leaving a lasting impression with iconic episodes.

The weekly premiere, even if Netflix has accustomed us to marathons where we watch an entire series from scratch, is becoming something that helps the series generate an elongated conversation over time. But as much as we know we have to wait to see Joel and Ellie again, it’s still hard: we ultimately want more about their story as soon as possible.

Where to watch and schedule of The Last of Us chapter 5

This week, however, you are in luck. Chapter 5 of The Last of Us will be released two days earlier worldwide: February 11 (10 in the US). In Spain it will be available in the early morning of the 11th at 03:00h, to be released simultaneously with its official time in the United States.

The reason why Chapter 5 of The Last of Us has been released early is that this weekend is the Super Bowl celebration. The event will take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in the early hours of Monday the 13th, and everyone is expected to be talking about this event (it is the most important sporting phenomenon of the year in the US) throughout the weekend.

The strategy, rather than a conflict of interest (in the end there is no real competition between The Last of Us and the Super Bowl) seems to respond to the idea of giving a hand to their audience so that they can devote 100% to the event having already seen the next chapter. Thus, they make sure that everyone sees it in time and even generate new discussions in the stands of the stadium.

The next chapter of The Last of Us is titled Endure & Survive, and promises to bring more action than ever for the duo of protagonists. It’s sure to be a hot weekend with the new HBO Max series and the Super Bowl.
