The universe of The Boys continues to expand, and its upcoming spin-off, Vought Rising, promises to take the irreverence and brutality of the original series to another level. The prequel, centered on the characters of Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) and Stormfront (Aya Cash), will explore the dark origins of Vought International in the 1950s, showing how the company began its rise to total control.

Aya Cash has hinted that the scripts she has read so far are “absolutely incredible” and that the series will be “incredibly good.” Although it is not yet known when filming will begin, everything is ready for it, and we will probably see it before the final season of The Boys. For now, it is clear that the tone they want to use is on the level of both The Boys and Gen V, its other spin-off.

The Most Hated Characters are Now Protagonists

However, Vought Rising is not the only project in development within the The Boys universe. In addition to the second season of Gen V, The Boys: Mexico, another project that promises to expand the universe created by Eric Kripke, is also in the works. Kripke has confirmed that although the main story of the series will conclude after its fifth season in 2026, the world they have created still has much more to tell.

With the combination of a powerful cast and a story that explores the origins of two of the series’ most controversial characters, Vought Rising seems ready to continue pushing boundaries. If the brutality that accompanies the original characters is present in this prequel, it is more than clear that it will continue to captivate the loyal audience of The Boys.
