Believe it or not, Rebel Moon – Part 1: The Girl of Fire has found its audience on Netflix. Zack Snyder’s film has been heavily criticized —with good reason— by the critics, and yet the filmmaker’s defenders have supported it as they did with his epics from the DC Comics universe. But the title of the film already warned that it was only the first part of something bigger.
Now, the trailer for Netflix’s new film has just been released: Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Warrior Who Leaves Marks. The movie is scheduled to be released on April 19th, and both films were shot back-to-back. It certainly seems like it’s going to be exactly what it promises: a linear continuation of the first film. We’ll see if that’s enough.
Next April, the second part of Rebel Moon arrives on Netflix
Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Warrior Who Leaves Marks picks up the story of Kora and the surviving warriors from her planet. At the point where the first movie ended, everyone is willing to sacrifice everything and fight alongside the brave inhabitants of Veldt to defend what was once a peaceful village and is now a new home for those who lost theirs in the battle against Mundomadre.
As the movie’s synopsis states, on the eve of the confrontation, the warriors confront their past and reveal their motives for fighting. And so, while the Kingdom tries to quell the incipient rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, new heroes emerge, and legends are born.

The film wants to continue building Zack Snyder’s name. But, while the first feature film continues to crash against the critics, its defenders make it clear that the support they have for it is completely unconditional. We will see what happens with this second part.
