This new TikTok feature gives content creators years of life

TikTok has started testing a new feature called “Delete and Re-upload,” which will allow users to re-upload a video while retaining the edits made within the app itself, according to reports Owen Willis, a Social Media Manager.

“Delete and re-edit” is very useful for those who prefer to create and edit videos directly from TikTok, thus giving the possibility to redo or adjust a clip without having to start from scratch. However, this new option does not affect videos edited with external applications like CapCut.

The feature allows content creators and social media managers to modify videos they have already uploaded without needing to delete them completely. This not only saves time but is also very useful in cases where a video violates community guidelines and needs to be removed. Now, instead of completely deleting the content, users can select it, send it to drafts, and make the necessary changes to republish it.

Additionally, thanks to this tool, content creators on TikTok will be able to optimize videos that do not generate the desired performance. With this new feature, it will be possible to modify the content while preserving the edits made in the app, thus taking advantage of the work already done.
