It's unbelievable how easy across actually is to use, I really cant. I honestly was expecting software KVM to be either incredibly limited or barely functional but to my surprised across was neither, it was full featured and smooth. I cannot stress just how natural it makes using multiple devices with one set of inputs feel.

I'm not a huge fan. This is only a trial and then it get's really annoying. It is reasonably priced though so I would say like 3/5 stars.

Not a KVM. Does not contain the video portion, only the "K" and "M" parts.

THIS SOFTWARE SEEMS TO WORK WELL IN SOME AREAS BUT NOT IN OTHER AREAS. I THINK ADDING THE VIRUS PROTECTION TO THIS UPDATE WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA.

I have 1 Monitor, 1 Keyboard & Mouse, and 2 PCs. Does Across work with this setup?

I'm a streamer on twitch and Synergy is a must for me. I multitask so much and i don't know what i would do without it. With the ability to control my other computer and my laptop at the same time it's a life saver. More

I needed a virtual KVM software so that I could work from home without bringing home my computer. Synergy does exactly what I needed and expected it to do. More

This software has helped me keep all of my devices intact. The price was inexpensive and it integrates everything flawlessly.

Increasing productivity is always an aim of mine and I believe Multiplicity will help me do that. I've come across other virtual kvm software that was free, but I'd be interested in purchasing this software after my free trial expires. More

I got Multiplicity as part of the Dtardock Object Desktop suite and it works great. To Will Rubin's comment Multiplicity DOES contain the video portion of a KVM, but that's an additional upcharge from the basic Multiplicity package. You can upgrade full KVM for either 1 or up to 9 pc's if you already own the Multiplicity base package More

I've had to use this program for work for quite a while and I find it quite intuitive. It makes much more sense to use something like this than it does to have everything hooked up to a physical switch with wires running everywhere. More

Multiplicity is a super intuitive, inventive, user-friendly virtual KVM software. It has helped me a lot in my office.

Before I had Microsoft Garage Mouse without borders, running multiple computers with one keyboard and mouse basically required KVMs or wormholes.. This software allowed me to control computers on a wireless network with one set of inputs as if it was one machine with linked displays. Great for a busy office setup. More

I can't get this to work. Could be because one PC is wired and the other is on Wifi...

This software fits the bill great! It can work for using a mouse and keyboard on up to 4 computers at once. It works relatively well too!
by Ralph Richards
If you're a multitasker you need this thing. It lets you control up to four computers with one mouse and keyboard so you'll be able to do all you like with enough space you need. More

Input Director is an incredible program: I use it to seamlessly work between my Windows and BSD boxen, as well as to do administrative tasks on my headless NASes. Occasionally, if you managed to hit just the right combination of keys and mouse movement, it'll crash, but considering what it's doing, I can live with that. After all, when it comes to open source software, once you've got it compiled, you've mostly won the battle. More

I have used this for years and it works great. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that it does not work with Macs.

I used to have a piece of hardware that I had to use to make this switch. I love that it is now a software so I can reduce the clutter on my desk. This solution works really well and seamlessly switches between computers. Definitely recommend. More

I found this website to be VERY clear and thorough. I can figure out exactly what it is intended to do and the graphics help A LOT as well. I think it is easy to navigate through because it is logically organized. More
Barrier is an open-source, KVM software by debauchee. Based from Synergy 1.9's codebase, this software offers intuitive access across machines by using a keyboard and mouse.
by Amit Tata
It's going to be a tough project for debauchee and the contributors on developing an open source KVM program. Fixing some of Synergy's problems is kinda ambitious, I will watch their growth and progress because I support development of open source programs.

I do not agree that this is the best software to duel screen your computer, but it is pretty simple to use, however I could not find any tutorials in order to install it. An ok program, there are better out there. More

I use both an Apple and a PC at home, one for developing and one for general use. I currently have to manually swap all the peripherals from one to the other, but with Win2VNC, that problem is gone! More

I didn't trust this website because my computer thought it might be a virus. I would not recomment using this.

This would have been helpful during my network days. It was a pain having to use a KVM switch to control another computer when I needed to just make a simple change. Man how many hours I wasted having to setup a KVM switch. The days are over, having to use a KVM switch as the Virtual KVM software is perfect to control multiple network computers at a time with just a single mouse and keyboard. I wish I had this when I was working on networked computers. More

There really is no other software out there like this one. All the other programs I've tried have been pretty shady and I'm pretty sure I got malware from one of them. I have had no problems with Share Mouse, however. More

This is terrible software. Very unreliable and requires frequent reloads. Constantly looses connection with shared computers. I do not recommend ShareMouse. More
