Shortages of raw materials have been a major burden on the technology world, and Apple has been no less so. Last year, this issue affected the production of the iPhone 14 and its availability in stores. Apple does not want to stumble over the same stone again this year and it seems that the production of iPhone 15 screens will start next June.

So explains Ross Young, analyst at DSCC. According to his statements, it is expected that there will be a higher volume of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. This suggests that Apple anticipates that there will be a higher demand for these specific models. Preparations for iPhone 15 production began last January, but it will not be until June and July that mass production will begin.

What will the iPhone 15 bring?

The entire new iPhone 15 lineup will receive the much-lauded Dynamic Island, a feature that was only present on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. In addition, numerous rumors indicate that this year’s Pro models will keep the same screen size, but feature thinner bezels. Unfortunately, technologies such as ProMotion (allowing refresh rates of up to 120 Hz) will remain exclusive to the Pro models.

However, it’s not just the Pro models that will see new features. The standard iPhone 15s will also receive updates, as is the case with its camera. As we can read on MacRumors, Apple will say goodbye to 12 megapixels after numerous years. The iPhone 14 Pro was the first to debut the new 48-megapixel camera and all indications are that it will be the same that we will see in the basic iPhone 15.

Price higher than ever

Another of the most feared rumors regarding the iPhone 15 has to do with its price increase. The trend is clear and everything points to the iPhone 15 Pro Max becoming the most expensive Apple phone ever.

Currently, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max start from a base price of €1.319 and €1.469, respectively. Now, rumors hint that the price of these devices could go up by as much as €100 more outside the US market. Let’s put it in perspective: when the iPhone 13 Pro went on sale in 2021, it did so with a price tag of €1.159. If the rumors are true, the iPhone would have increased in price by more than 250 euros in just two years. In view of this, would you be inclined to buy the future iPhone 15?
