Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has become one of the best superhero movies of all time, and has even surpassed The Dark Knight in many rankings and lists. Without a doubt, it has become a huge success, and it still seems that it has a lot to give.

The film that follows Into the Spider-Verse has delighted audiences with its skilled storytelling and animation, surpassing even the previous installment. However, it seems that we have very little left to see of Miles Morales’ story on the big screen.

Across the Spider-Verse is the second film in a trilogy that will conclude with Beyond the Spider-Verse, set to be released on March 29, 2024. But will we see more of this Spidey afterwards? Sony Pictures Animation has addressed this question.

The last film in the trilogy

As confirmed by Chris Miller, the original director and writer of the films alongside Phil Lord, the answer is no. We won’t see Miles Morales on the big screen after this film, as it will serve as the conclusion to the trilogy they started. “That’s all folks. We’re so tired!” Miller stated. And they have certainly earned a well-deserved rest.

Obviously, given its popularity, it’s highly possible that we will see spin-offs from the original films and much more. But for now, that’s all they have to offer… which is still quite impressive. While we await Beyond the Spider-Verse, we can continue to enjoy the first two installments, which have been great successes.
