A growing protest movement known as “Tesla Takedown” is organizing demonstrations at Tesla stores worldwide, including cities like New York and Tucson.
This weekend, hundreds of people joined the protests, with an impressive turnout of approximately 300 demonstrators at the Tesla store in Tucson.
The actions have led to the interruption of operations at several company locations, notably the temporary closure of the store in Manhattan due to the unauthorized entry of some protesters.
Everyone hates Tesla because of Elon Musk
The protests have mostly been peaceful, although there have been exceptions. At the store in Manhattan, some protesters managed to enter, forcing employees to close the doors to prevent more people from coming in.
The police have confirmed the arrest of 9 individuals in New York, although the specific charges have not yet been disclosed. During the event, damage was reported, including broken glass in doors and windows of the store.
This movement, which is already showing signs of expanding to other major cities in the U.S., could continue to gain momentum in the coming weeks, with thousands of people expected to join the demonstrations.
Despite the growing pressure from protesters and the accumulated offenses in Elon Musk’s management, the Tesla board of directors is not expected to take drastic measures, as they firmly align with Musk in his decisions.
Analysts suggest that, despite the massive protest, it is unlikely that this will result in any firing action against Musk, who has been involved in previous controversies without significant consequences.
Experts believe that the true catalyst for substantial changes could be a negative impact on Tesla’s stock price, which has so far remained relatively stable amid these turbulent events.
