If there is one thing we have learned over the past few years, it is that when the first reactions to a movie come out — even before the Rotten Tomatoes reviews — you have to take what is said with a grain of salt. These initial reactions usually come from people who have had the great privilege of attending a premiere, and they typically praise the films far more than they end up deserving.

While they are preparing the live-action remake, the sequel is scheduled to be released on November 29. And, of course, everyone says the movie is wonderful… except for the music.
Will the music live up to expectations?
While these initial reactions do not say that the music is terrible, they do make it clear that the songs are not as iconic as those of its predecessor. And considering the “inflation” of these reviews, we might be talking about them being far from the original movie. We leave you with some of the reviews:
“While the songs are not as catchy this time, Moana and Maui remain an infectious duo that delivers jokes and heartfelt moments. The animation is brilliant, a deeper dive into Polynesian tradition, Moana 2 proves that it’s worth sailing beyond once again.”
“Moana 2 may not sail the same emotional tide as the first, but it is still a fun, action-packed adventure that showcases magical and truly creative animation. The initial episodic format for the story is noticeable and the songs are good, although not as iconic.”
“Moana 2 is a sequel worth watching! Fun, great music, lots of love. Another emotional and empowering journey across the sea. The animation is AMAZING! The new characters are fantastic but the best part is when Moana and Maui are together. Their jokes are everything! The credits scene!”
