Google Play Games doesn’t stop in its improvements, and now it also adds support for controllers in its beta version, expanding its library with more than 3,000 games, and introducing 4K resolution, among other updates. This shows that the definitive arrival of Android games on Windows PCs is getting closer.
This system has been available since last July, but at that time, the catalog of this system, which is still in beta, didn’t have all the features it has now. These new features include support for playing games with PlayStation and Xbox controllers, as well as the ability to play games in 4K quality.
Exponential increase in the PC catalog
Google’s significant progress with its PC gaming platform indicates that the beta phase is moving in a positive direction. Considering that it has gone from having just a hundred games last summer to having over 3,000 games currently, it’s reasonable to expect that this platform will soon be announced as a definitive version.
Thanks to this substantial expansion of the Google Play Games beta catalog on PC, players who install the launcher can enjoy iconic titles such as Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, Dragon Ball Legends, Top Eleven, Genshin Impact (in its Android version), Angry Birds 2, and thousands of other games. Don’t hesitate to take a look to confirm that your favorite Android games are now available on PC!

New playground for Android games
In addition to the significant improvement in available Android games, it’s also important to highlight that for those who find it uncomfortable to play with a keyboard and mouse, they can also connect their console controllers to use them without any issues. In fact, it has been confirmed that PlayStation’s DualSense and DualShock 4 controllers, as well as Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One controllers, can be used interchangeably on Google Play Games.
Therefore, when Google Play Games completes its beta phase to give birth to its final version, Android games will have a new platform with official support. This means that PCs will join smartphones and tablets as compatible systems for Android gaming.
