Raise your hands if you recall Niko Bellic from Grand Theft Auto IV? GTA revolutionized the series with brand new graphics that looked incredibly realistic for its time. With so many games being remastered lately, we’ve wondered if Rockstar Games would bother doing the same with this one. According to new leaks, it appears it may happen.
The first leak about a remastered Grand Theft Auto IV appeared in November 2021 when Ralph showcased an image on Twitter. In the comments, there was mention of the new version appearing on several platforms with a multiplayer element. It’s had fans of the series excited, especially with the year 2023 printed above it.
A new leak appeared over the last few days by someone called Matheusvictorbr. While he mostly tweets about GTA 5, GTA Online, and GTA 6, there was a post with a GIF that referred to packing up soon, and it won’t be long. It’s a rather cryptic message, but it makes us wonder what he knows about the remastered Grand Theft Auto 4, if there’s anything to know.
It would be great to return to that world. There were so many new aspects we discovered, and it was fun building relationships and playing darts. Of course, many of these elements are in the latest games, but there’s some nostalgia to returning to that city and the characters we met there. Hopefully, the remastered version won’t change too many of the quests, but here’s hoping for an online element.
If you’re more interested in the next Rockstar Game, here’s how ambitious GTA 6 seems to be.
