This record, achieved last Sunday, March 2 at 3:04 PM, has been primarily driven by the recent release of Monster Hunter Wilds. This new title from Capcom attracted over 1.3 million players at the time of its launch, highlighting the massive impact the series has on the gaming community.

The figure of 40,236,608 concurrent players reflects not only the popularity of Monster Hunter Wilds but also the continuous growth of the Steam platform and its ability to attract a large part of the gaming community. To put this figure into perspective, it is equivalent to approximately 80% of all PlayStation 5 owners being online at the same time, demonstrating the appeal of the PC/SteamOS system.
