    A graphics tablet (also known as a pen tablet, drawing tablet, digitizer, or digital artboard) is a computer input device that allows digital artists to draw or sketch animations and graphics using a pen or a stylus in the same fashion that they draw images with a pencil and a paper. Aside from its artistic purposes, this technology is also used in capturing hand-written signatures.

Aside from producing illustrations, texts, and typographies-the aesthetic side of it--graphic artists analyze the client needs, translate their abstract ideas into something visually concrete and turn them into promotional materials use for logos and displays that we commonly see in advertisements, marketing brochures, and signages. The data posted on Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that employees in the specialized design services industry earn an annual mean wage of 54, 780 US dollars. Interestingly, graphic designers earn more than 21% of similar careers in the United States.

    The illustration industry is heading to the same path as photography this 2018. However, unlike photographers, illustrations have been utilizing bright and vibrant colors since last year to bring their crafts to people’s attention, that experts say that trend is still in the groove this 2018. A touch of surrealism will also be appearing this year as futuristic styles will come to play, according to Michael Haddad.
